c. Unique Test link for each Candidate

You can conduct tests fairly by providing a unique link for each candidate so that another candidate cannot take the test intended for a particular candidate. And if a candidate tries to take the test of another candidate, the admin can distinguish such candidates by checking the name and email id in the admin reports.

Default Invitation Settings for Automated Assessments (API & Talent Portal)

The Default Invitation Settings feature allows you to configure key assessment settings like time limits, proctoring, and other controls while publishing a test.

These settings are automatically applied to all assessments triggered via:

  • API integrations
  • Talent Portal

This ensures that every candidate attempt follows a consistent and pre-approved configuration, without requiring manual updates after invitation creation.

Previously, when assessments were triggered via API or Talent Portal:

  • The system applied generic platform defaults
  • Users had no control at the time of test creation
  • Misconfigurations were often discovered after candidates had already attempted the test

This led to:

  • Inconsistent candidate experiences
  • Compliance risks (e.g., missing proctoring, incorrect timing)
  • Increased manual effort to fix settings post-invite

How It Works

  1. Create or edit an assessment in Draft state
  2. Click Publish
  3. During publishing, a Default Invitation Settings pop-up appears in the Invite Tab
  4. Configure required settings (e.g., duration, proctoring, restrictions)
  5. Save and publish the assessment

Once published:

  • All API and Talent Portal assessment invitations automatically inherit these settings

Configuration Priority

When an assessment is triggered, the system applies settings in the following order:

  1. API Request Parameters (Highest Priority)
    • If explicitly passed in the API call, these override all other settings
  2. Test-Level Default Settings
    • Configured during publishing
    • Used when API parameters are missing or incomplete
  3. System Defaults (Lowest Priority)
    • Applied only if no other settings are available
