Use the innovative upload file question to assess various skill sets of candidates.
Upload File question type is useful for descriptive or project-based questions like word, excel, illustrator, PowerPoint, etc. It allows candidates to answer a question in a word file/excel sheet and upload it to the test platform.
To add Upload File questions:
- Click My Questions.
- Click Add Question and select Upload File.
Note: If you are uploading for the first time, you will need to create category and skill before adding any questions.

Add your question in the respective skill, enter the details, and click Save.
Alternatively, you can also use the Add File option to upload your question file. E.g., If you have a question in Excel, you can upload the excel file and add the instructions.
Now you can create the test with Upload File questions. Click How to create a Test to know more.
How will it look on the test platform?
In the test platform, the question will appear as below.
The candidates can attempt the question in TXT, DOCX , XLSX, CSV, PPTX, PDF, PNG, JPEG format and upload it on the platform.
When the file is uploaded, it will look as below.
How to view it in reports?
- Go to Reports, in the Questions tab, you can view the uploaded file in the Candidate Answer section.
Download the file, review the answer. - Click Edit to allot points.
- Enter the score and explanations, if any.
- Click Save.
The report will now be updated with the revised scores.
