Overview
The Configurable PDF Report Sections feature allows administrators to control which sections are included in Assessment PDF Reports through centralized settings. This helps organizations standardize report formats, reduce accidental exposure of sensitive data, and ensure consistent enforcement across all PDF generation channels.
With this feature, PDF report governance is managed through:
-
Global default configuration
-
Test-level configuration overrides
-
Mandatory sections that are always included
-
Consistent enforcement across download, share, API, and stakeholder report flows
This shifts PDF reporting from ad hoc runtime selection to a more controlled, enterprise-ready configuration model.
Mandatory Report Sections
Some report sections are always included in the PDF report and cannot be disabled.
The following sections are automatically included in all reports:
-
Score Analysis
-
Section Score Analysis
-
Section Skill Analysis
-
Disclaimer
These sections do not appear as configurable options in the settings.

Global PDF Report Configuration allows administrators to define which sections should appear in assessment reports by default across the organization. This helps standardize report formats, ensure compliance with data-sharing policies, and prevent accidental exposure of sensitive information.
Note:
1. These settings act as default configuration.
2. New tests automatically inherit these settings.
3. Test level settings can override the global configuration.

Configuring PDF Report Sections (Test Level)
Test-level configuration allows test owners to customize report sections for a specific assessment.
Steps to Configure Test-Level PDF Sections
-
Go to the Tests > My Test section.
-
Open the test you want to configure.
Navigate to Test Settings > Report Settings.
-
Select or deselect the sections you want to include.
-
Save the changes.
Test-Level PDF Report Configuration allows test owners to customize which sections appear in the PDF report for a specific assessment. This provides flexibility to tailor reports based on the purpose of the test while still maintaining governance through configurable sections. Any changes made here automatically apply to reports downloaded, shared, or accessed via report links for that test.
Each test automatically inherits the global PDF report configuration at the time of creation.
-
Test owners can customize the included report sections to suit the specific purpose of that assessment.
-
Test-level settings override the global configuration for that particular test.
-
The configured sections apply consistently across all PDF generation channels, including downloads, shared reports, Excel PDF links, APIs, and stakeholder report emails.
-
Since PDFs are generated dynamically at access time, any configuration updates will be reflected in both future downloads and previously generated report links.
Download PDF Popup Behavior
When downloading a PDF report, users will see all configurable section options.
All configurable section checkboxes remain visible

“This section is unselected in PDF Report Configuration settings. Update the settings to enable this option while downloading.”
Purpose:
- Educates users
- Reduces support queries
Share Report Popup Behavior
The Share Report popup follows the same governance logic as the Download popup.

-
All configurable sections remain visible
-
Disabled sections cannot be selected
-
Runtime selection cannot override configuration
-
Users are guided to update settings if needed
If sections are restricted, the popup displays:
“Some sections are currently unselected in the PDF Report Configuration settings.

Invite Candidate – Open Link Flow
For Open Link Invite:
When a stakeholder report is sent through the candidate invite flow (Publish the test > Invite Candidate)

The PDF follows the configured test-level settings automatically.
Users see the following message:
“The PDF report sent to stakeholders will reflect the sections selected in the Test-Level PDF Report configuration settings.”
There is no option to override section selection during the invite flow.
