Know how to conduct a Live Whiteboarding Interview and empower yourselves to recreate a virtual environment and assess a candidate's logical thinking and problem solving skills in real-time.
A whiteboarding interview is a technical problem-solving assessment that involves a candidate writing code, solving technical problems, and explaining diagrams on a whiteboard. You can virtually assess a candidate's technical and problem-solving skills using the whiteboard interview on iMocha.
Conduct Live Whiteboarding Interview:
1. Click the Interview Link received in the email invitation, directly access the interview in your Outlook or Google calendar (blocked using the Add to Calendar feature of iMocha's Live Interview), or copy-paste the Interview Link on your browser.The Email invitation appears as below:
2. Authenticate yourself to enter the interview platform. Use the same email address in which you received the interview invitation.
Note: If you are a Guest Interviewer, you will be asked to wait until the host starts the interview. You can enter the interview platform only once the host starts the interview.
3. You can use the built-in text, voice, and video chat to communicate with the candidate and fellow interviewers.
4. Click Add Question, select the questions manually by scrolling through the list of 80 questions in iMocha's Skills Library. The selected questions are loaded in the question panel from where the candidate can navigate through the question bar, answer it, and explain it through diagrams using the excalidraw plugin. Interviewers can access iMocha's coding skills library at any time.
a. Questions categorised as Easy, Medium, or Hard. Candidates are shown the problem statement, as well as sample input and output.
b. The filter on Topics, for ready reference to suitable question bank.
Note: You can evaluate the candidate on multiple questions during the interview.
Interviewers can view the explanations and diagrams created by the candidate, provide custom input, and view the results in real time on the platform.
4. Click the Interview Rating star icon to rate the candidate while interview is in progress.
The below window appears. Fill in your scores as per the preset parameters, provide the Additional Feedback (mandatory) and click Submit Rating.
Note: Both the Host and Interviewer can evaluate the interview. Furthermore, the host can exit the interview using the Leave Session option, allowing other interviewers to continue in their absence.
Warning: End session is initially enabled only for the Host. In case the host chooses to Leave session, the End Session button will be enabled for other interviewers. Thereafter, any one of the other interviewers may End Session, after concluding the interview.
