Know how to provide your validations for your team members.
Manager Validation represents the average actual current proficiency score validated by the manager for a specified skill. This metric provides an overview of your proficiency in that skill based on your manager’s validation. Once the employee has set up the skill profile, the manager can validate the team members.
Manager’s Notification
The Manager Notification feature is available as a feature flag-based setting. Customers who opt for the Manager’s Notification, will receive updates on notifications, ensuring better tracking of skill validations and team progress. Managers will receive a weekly consolidated skill progress update, providing insights into their team’s development.

Manager’s Dashboard
The Manager’s Dashboard in iMocha is designed to provide a view of employee skill growth, proficiency updates, and overall team progress. With this dashboard, managers can easily track skill changes, validate new skills, and make informed decisions based on real-time data.
To validate your team members and manage the skills,
- Log in to the Talent Portal as a Manager to gain a comprehensive overview of your team members.
- Click on Validate Team to access the dashboard and get a comprehensive view of ongoing actions.
Note: You can filter the information for the last 30 days, a week, or other timeframes using the dropdown arrow. - You will see two sections on the dashboard – Skills update and Validate members.
- The Skills Update section provides an overview of all updates, changes, and their sources. It captures any modifications made by direct managers, including skill updates and proficiency changes, ensuring a clear record of team progress.
This structured view helps managers track and validate skill changes efficiently.
Date: Shows when the update was made by the team member or manager.
Team Member: Displays the name of the team member.
Source of Update: Indicates the type of change, such as self-rating, manager’s rating, assessment score updates, or resume/certificate modifications.
Updated Skill: Records any newly added skills or proficiency updates. (Currently, resume and certificate updates are not recorded.)
Update: Captures the specific type of update made.
For example: The team member, Cameron Williamson, has updated his self-rating for the skill Python. He has changed the proficiency level from 2 (Basic) to 4 (Expert). - The Validate Members tab allows managers to rate their team members and validate their skills efficiently.
The top bar provides a quick summary, displaying the total number of team members, the number of members yet to be validated, and those partially validated—for instance, if a team member has 10 skills, but only 3 have been validated. It also highlights the number of members who have been fully validated, ensuring managers have a clear overview of the validation status immediately.
Note: Average proficiency is calculated based on ratings from all multi-channel validations. - Click on Validate Skills. You will be redirected to the Skills Validation page.
- Click on the skill name to see the skill description and proficiency levels.
- From the drop-down menu under the Manager’s validation column, rate the skill based on proficiency.
- Once you have added the proficiency, click Save.
- You can now see the average proficiency of your team members.
Congratulations! You have successfully validated your team members.
